I saw this thread over at one of the other messageboards and I thought it was a neat topic that everyone could participate in, I will go first. My name Hooter comes from my longterm relationship with someone I will call MaryJane. MaryJane and I have spent quite a bit of time together and let me tell you on more than one occasion it made me feel HIGH just being with her. When some people would look at her, they would just see an old bag but I knew her for what was on the inside of that bag. And she could dance! On more than one occasion I would hear someone say twist up another HOOTER. And since that was my special name for MaryJane, I made it my nickname as an honoring to someone special to me! ;{Þ

Every single western and non-western name from the movies and TV and history that I could think of was taken and I didn't want to be number 2 something or other. Like say, ButchCa$$idy642 lol. Whatever the name, I wanted the name without numbers or misspelling. I was creatively dry for ideas lol. I could NOT think of one that wasn't taken. Ok so the NEXT day I said let me flip thru a gun magazine. Oughta be something in there like Speedy or something lol. I saw an ad for moly-coated bullets (molybdenum disulfide, the slickest substance known to man lol). I figured yeah this will get me started. It didn't occur to me that everybody would think I was girl since I know how to spell and moly is moly and Molly is Molly lol. When I realized that I wanted to change it, it was too late, I already built up some, what do ya call it... ahhh you know, people knew me some by then, I didn't want to re-build what reputation I had already built. Much later on I got peeved off one day and changed it to WAW_Jed_Cooper but that didn't work out.

Hi all, Well, this is how I got my nickname....When I started shaving my head bald a few people used to joke around call me bonehead. LoL! I liked the word bone, but not bonehead hehe. So, I asked everyone to call me Thebone instead of bonehead. Ever since then the nick Thebone stuck with me. Then the "88" part of my nick came from part of my old CB handle. So, I put the two together and had Thebone88. And I used that nick on the Zone for the longest time until I decided to change my nick to Mr. Bone88. And that's how I got my nickname. ;D Take care all, ~Mr. Bone88

Precisely my point.
And speaking of one step stupider... I have to shake my head when I see somebody who changes their name every week and they keep callin' him by his original name that they know him by.
lol I tried going by my real name but of course that was taken. *checks back here often to catch the punch line to that lol

At first my nic was Zoggard because I had been using it playing spades in the zone, then I found Outlaws and used zoggard for a short bit but then changed to a more western name... I tried Hoss by itself but it was taken so I went to Hoss_Zog. When OGB started I changed it to OGB_Hoss and have been ever since. I choose Hoss because of his charactor in the TV series. I've had a couple other nic's I used in the past for fooling around, one was Bent_Barrel (known for shooting around corners)

I haven't spent a day in my life without a dog in the family, or one of my own. Now, I ain't a veterinarian, but I have worked as a para-vet in the past. For years, friends and family with dog-related concerns would call up "The Dogtor" for advice. Kind of a short hop from that to " Dog_Holliday".

I am sure the outlawed josey wales is a movie that need no introduction. In that movie was a chief named Ten Bears that gave a speech I used to joke about after a few beers calling myself ten beers. I got ready to play a joke on gringo and thought, unlike Hooter , that ten beers might not be appropriate for a family game. The next best thing is tacos. No I am not over weight or Mexican, and I am only 1/16th American Indian. In any event the joke became more fun than T4H_Ebon was to play, so the you have it. Hooter lol
